Bomb attacks have killed at least 11 police officers who were protecting polio-vaccination teams in Pakistan's restive northwest.
Officials say there also were many injuries caused by the attacks on March 1 in the Khyber tribal region near the city of Peshawar.
The first bomb exploded near a police vehicle as the polio-vaccination team's convoy was passing through the village of Lashora near the town of Jamrud, which sits at the entrance of the Khyber Pass into Afghanistan.
Minutes later, another roadside bomb targeted a convoy of tribal police who were dispatched to transport victims of the first attack.
The second bomb reportedly killed 11 policemen and wounded six.
Gunmen also attacked police who survived the second explosion, triggering a clash that continued for several hours.
