Their popularity confirms that many Azeris remain devoted to the dynasty founded by former President Heidar Aliyev, the current president’s father.

Once I happened to visit the room of the YAP (Yeni Azerbaycan Party - ruling party) youth organization's chief. He had a small room where he had 19 (nineteen) portraits of Heydar Aliyev. I asked, isn't it too much? he said no. He has more at home. I just left. It is no more fun
