Basra Car Bomb Kills 10, Wounds 30

Reports say a car bomb in a popular shopping district in the southern Iraqi city of Basra killed at least 10 people and wounded 30 today.

Police and army sources said that a car bomb in the Al-Qibla district caused the casualties.

Twin bombings today in Shi'ite holy cities of Najaf and Karbala killed at least 18 people, 10 of them pilgrims from Iran.

Police and local officials said the attacks also wounded almost 60 people, mostly Iranian pilgrims.
