One year after war broke out between Russia and Georgia, many issues remain unresolved. South Ossetia and the breakaway region of Abkhazia unilaterally declared independence, tens of thousands of Georgians are still displaced, and political tensions between Tbilisi and Moscow are simmering. Here is a look back at the key events in the conflict over the past 12 months.

One year after we know that you can never count on Peace if your enemy has arms & solders occupying your land. after Soviet has fallen apart instead of removing the occupational forces Russian military presence is increasing in Georgia.

But Georgia knew that already. How can one forget?
You can fear Russia and be cautious about it but, when your country men are dying from Russian bullets day by day for 15 years pretending this is not happening will not awaken dead.
If fear Could defend one from wars and death, no human being would ever die, because we all fear death.

The brave who defend their country are fearful of the death too. It is the fear for the lives of loved ones that challenges them to risk their life.

One Year after we are reminded that we all die one day but until we are alive we have to fight for each breath of Free air.

Giving up on that struggle is death.

Yes, Georgia has limited support from the west but a little care is still better then brutal abuse. Russia has nothing else to offer for years after years for Georgia but abuse.

(By the way Russia has nothing but abuse for any other country in the world, Russia's neighbor's especially.)

What has changed after the war?
We are loosing the Abkhaz tribe at faster pace then before. The prodigal son may vanish before comes to its senses to return to us.
What is even more painful is the realization that if they hold their hand to reach us now, does Georgia has any physical & moral strength left, will she be able to help?
How can we rescue Abkhazs from condition of Hostages of Russia?
I think only a devastated parent with a rebellious teenager in deadly situation could understand the pain of Georgia.
Anger, Compassion, frustration, Love, helplessness & dread that we may hear the terrible news hovers in our thoughts.

This is the war with Russia.

But we MUST hope. Remaining hopeful is part of the straggle to remain alive. Breath in & out, and tomorrow it will get easier.

Everything changes in life & Luck of Georgia must change for better.

Abziaraz.

We have learnt that its stupid to count on American & Eu support for your misadventures .Do not poke a bear & then run behind the West imagining to be protected for your mischief . You cant choose our neighbours, learn to live with it

So one year later what have we learned? Russia can behave badly and as long as its behavior does not cross into the EU territory the West (NATO, EU, US) will make a short fuss and then consider it all as a thing of the past. Just to make sure that things stay that way "reset" diplomacy is ready and waiting.
