SILBAs 4 Danish and 4 Belarusian Observers were denied accreditation as well. They have just (Tuesday 28th, evening) been taken to the Police Station. We expect that they as well will be kindly asked to leave the country...
SILBA is a Danish NGO involved in promoting democracy in Former Soviet Republics. SILBA have conducted EOMs several times. SILBA was denied acc in Moldova in April as well, but carried out poll.station inspecs anyway.

Many thanks, Jakob, for bringing that to our attention. We've included it in our subsequent post on the expulsions.

About This Blog
Our #moldovavotes blog followed the July 29, 2009 elections through the eyes of RFE/RL correspondents and editors, guest bloggers, and other contributors. The vote was called after the announcement of a lopsided victory by the ruling Communists sparked street protests in April in the capital, Chisinau, that came to be dubbed a "Twitter revolution" in some Western media. Thus the #.
