Five Russian Officers Die In Car Accident In Tajikistan

DUSHANBE -- Five Russian military officers have died in a car accident in Tajikistan, RFE/RL's Tajik Service reports.

Tajik Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloev told RFE/RL that a minibus collided with a truck at the Russian military base in Tajikistan, some 70 kilometers east of the capital, Dushanbe.

Five other Russian officers were hospitalized with injuries.
