The number of billionaires in Russia has nearly doubled over the last year, according to the annual list published by the Russian edition of "Forbes" magazine.

The magazine reports that the number of Russian billionaires has reached 62, up from 32 in crisis-hit 2009.

According to "Forbes," Russia's richest person is steel magnate Vladimir Lisin, with an estimated fortune of $15.8 billion.

Following Lisin is the owner of the Onexim investment fund, Mikhail Prokhorov, with an estimated $13.4 billion; the owner of Russia's largest private bank, Mikhail Fridman; Roman Abramovich, and Oleg Deripaska.
