Iranian Shoe-Throwing Contest

TEXT SIZE - +
The Iranian authorities are still milking the shoe-throwing incident for all it's worth. A shoe-throwing contest is due to be held at a university in Tehran on December 24.

Mohammad Reza Mazinani, the head of the Students' Islamic Society at the technical faculty of Shahed University, told the semi-official Fars news agency that students who throw a shoe "in the strongest manner" at an effigy of Bush will receive a prize.

No details on the prize, nor how the intensity of the shoe throwing will be judged.

Meanwhile, a conservative cleric, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, has said that Muntader al-Zaidi's shoes should be enshrined in Iraq's political museum.

And that's not all. Tehran's shoemakers association has said it is ready to provide shoes for the Iraqi journalist and his family.

I see, nobody excluding me, makes any coments on this site. This is because you organisation has no credibility in this and in any other region of the world. Who would spend time in his life for this visiting or commenting this kind of site? My friendly suggestion to you: please don't change anything in your behaviour and strategiy but continue to do the same as ever. Zoroaster.
