Mukhtar Dzhakishev and his several fellow executives were arrested on May 21.

Dzhakishev is officially charged with financial mismanagement, fraud, and embezzlement.

Gabbasov also said it is up to the court to rule on whether Dhakishev's trial should be open or closed.

He added that allegations that Dzhakishev and his former deputies are being tortured are baseless.
