Kazakh Premier To Visit Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK -- Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov is preparing for a planned visit to the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, on October 9, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.

A Kyrgyz government official told RFE/RL that the Kyrgyz-Kazakh intergovernmental council will hold its session in Bishkek on that day.

The two sides are expected to discuss implementation of mutual agreements set up on June 16-17 in Astana.

Among the major issues to be discussed are plans on cooperating on energy issues, as well as on labor and economic migrants.
