Kazakhstan Allows French Military Transit To Afghanistan

ASTANA (Reuters) -- The Kazakhstan government has agreed to allow French military personnel and equipment to transit through the Central Asian state to Afghanistan.

Foreign ministers of the two countries signed the transit agreement in the capital Astana after talks between visiting French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbaev.
