TEXT SIZE - +
Police in Moscow detained seven activists of the Levy Front (Left Front) movement today, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

Levy Front leader Sergei Udaltsov told RFE/RL that 15 members of the group were protesting the results of the October 11 elections to the Moscow City Duma, demanding new elections.

The protest was held near the Petrovsky Cathedral, where newly elected deputies were being sworn in and receiving their mandates.

The protesters blocked the entrance to the cathedral's territory and were distributing leaflets with information about alleged falsification of the
elections.
