MOSCOW -- A court in Moscow has issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the attempt to kill former Chechen parliament deputy Isa Yamadayev, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

The suspect's name was not revealed. He allegedly attacked Yamadayev in the Russian capital on July 28.

Two of Yamadayev's five brothers have been assassinated in the last 12 months.

Former Russian Duma Deputy Ruslan Yamadayev was shot dead in Moscow in September 2008, while Sulim Yamadayev, the former commander of the Russian Defense Ministry's Vostok battalion in Chechnya, was allegedly killed in Dubai in March.

Chechnya's Moscow-backed President Ramzan Kadyrov and Yamadayev's family have been at odds for several years.
