Prominent Russian Actor Igor Starygin Dies At 63

MOSCOW (RFE/RL) -- Prominent Russian actor Igor Starygin died of complications from a stroke at the age of 63 on November 8, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.
Starygin was hospitalized at the end of September after suffering the stroke.
He starred in more than 40 movies and was popular in the former Soviet Union for his roles in such movie hits as "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers," "We Shall Survive Until Monday," "The Aide Of His Excellency," the television series "The State Border," and many others.
He also worked as a stage actor at the Moscow Art Theater and the Theater of Mossovet.
A wake for Starygin will be held in Moscow's House of Cinema on November 12.
He will be buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
