Rumi Live At The Hollywood Bowl

The legendary 13th Iranian mystic Rumi is alive and well. On September 27, I'll be reciting Rumi's poetry at "A Celebration Of Rumi, The Sight and Sound of Mystic Persia," a Los Angeles Philharmonic presentation at the Hollywood Bowl.

The great cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, and his Silk Road Ensemble, will be among special guests.

The presentation is a great opportunity for those who like to explore the world of the great mystic and poet, who is cherished by Turks, Iranians, Afghans, Kurds, and Tajiks alike.

There will be music, with the finest Persian musicians and vocalists, whirling dervishes from Syria and Iran, and, of course, Rumi's poetry set to live calligraphy projections.(Or you can try an even more modern take on Rumi here.)
