TEXT SIZE - +
MOSCOW -- Russia's Supreme Court has overturned the verdict against a Chechen man convicted of attacking a polling station, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

In June, Abdul-Bari Ibragimov was found guilty of attacking a voting station in Chechnya along with an armed group, severely wounding three policemen, on the eve of the Russian presidential election in 2004.

He was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

The Supreme Court ruled that Ibragimov's case should be revised by investigators and he should stay in custody till November 26.

Ibragimov pleaded not guilty and has denied all the accusations.
