Shootings Reported In Ingushetia

NAZRAN, Ingushetia -- Unknown assailants wounded a local citizen in the Nazran district of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus last night, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

Ingushetia's Interior Ministry said the assailants attacked a private home with grenade launchers and machine guns.

The same day in Ingushetia's Sunzhen district, another group of assailants opened fire at a gasoline station. No casualties were reported.

There have been dozens of killings, kidnappings, and disappearances in Ingushetia as violence has escalated this year.
