The Picture That Was Removed

March 15, 2010
Iranian blogs and websites are reporting that this picture -- reportedly taken during President Mahmud Ahmadinejad’s trip last week to Hormozgan Province -- was removed by the ISNA news agency shortly after being posted.

The reason could be that the appearance of the young woman in the picture is not “Islamic” enough.

Probably, confronted with unhappy disgruntled Iranian woman! What should one expect? This is nothing new! Instead of creating jobs and prosperity, President Ahmadinejad gives speeches tinted with Anti Israeli anti Western remarks which are thoughtless and boring! Do these speeches help create more jobs? Of course not! And going around provinces and scattering cash around like Evita Peron is not the answer! More brave Iranian women should confront him face to face, both in his office and in public. He deserves it!
