Three Ukrainian Miners Still Missing In Accident

DZERZHINSK – Efforts continue in the Ukrainian city of Dzerzhinsk to locate three miners who have been missing since May 4, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.

RFE/RL's correspondent reports from the scene that members of Ukraine's Ministry of Emergency Situations and psychologists are working at the Novodzerzhynska mine, where an explosion caused a mineshaft to collapse one week ago.

Three miners were rescued from the collapsed shaft and three were found dead.

The fate of the missing miners is unknown.
