TEXT SIZE - +
PRAGUE -- Turkmen entrepreneurs are feeling the impact of the global economic crisis, RFE/RL's Turkmen Service reports.

Turkmen business experts told RFE/RL that the trade turnover by small businesses has decreased by 20 to 30 percent since the fall.

The return of Turkmen labor migrants from Russia and Turkey has also contributed to a rise in the country's unemployment figures.

Last week, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov publicly admitted that the country's economy has been hit by the global financial crisis.
