TEXT SIZE - +
MINSK -- Activists of the opposition Youth Front movement in Belarus held a protest in front of the Iranian Embassy in Minsk on June 24, RFE/RL's Belarus Service reports.

About a dozen protesters held a poster saying, "Liberty to Iran!"

Although the picket was not sanctioned by the Minsk authorities, police and plainclothes officers did not interfere and just watched the protest.

The demonstrators expressed their solidarity with Iranian youths demonstrating in Tehran against the results of the country's June 12 presidential election.
