Four Afghan soccer players have been killed and at least three others injured in a rocket attack in the southern Kandahar Province.
Local officials said the rocket landed in a football stadium on January 18 when the athletes were training there.
The attack took place in Kandahar's Maiwand district.
Javed Faisal, a spokesman for Kandahar's provincial government, told RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan the athletes were members of a local soccer team.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack.
