The presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sarkisian and Ilham Aliyev, have been discussing the so-called "frozen conflict" in Nagorno-Karabakh during face-to-face talks in Vienna.
The Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), under whose auspices the talks were held on November 19, is expected to issue a statement on the outcome.
Sarkisian told RFE/RL after the talks that the negotiations had been "normal."
The two leaders last met in Sochi in January 2012 in talks mediated by Russia.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have been locked in a conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, which local Armenian separatists, backed by Yerevan, seized from Azerbaijan during a devastating war in the 1990s.
Diplomatic efforts to settle the conflict since then have brought no results.
The region's independence has never been recognized by any country.
