More Srebrenica Victims Recovered From Grave In Bosnia

28 September 2005 (NCA) -- Forensics experts have exhumed the remains of more than 100 people believed to be victims of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The remains were recovered from a mass grave in northeastern Bosnia, in the village of Liplje. Liplje was
abandoned during Bosnia's 1992-to-1995 war when its Muslim population was forced out by Bosnian Serb troops.
Bosnian Serb forces overran the UN-protected Muslim enclave of Srebrenica in July 1995, killing an estimated 8,000
Muslim men and boys.
So far, thousands of victims of the massacre have been exhumed from some 60 mass graves around the region. The
Srebrenica killing is considered to be the worst single atrocity in Europe since World War II.
