The Saudi Interior Ministry named one of those killed as Fahd bin Faraj al-Joweir, whom it views as the leader of the Al-Qaeda network in the country.

The ministry said in a statement issued on 28 February that al-Joweir and another of the killed militants had participated in last week's foiled attack on the world's biggest oil-processing plant, at Abqaiq in the eastern part of the country.
