Sunnis Boycott Iraqi Parliament Over Kidnapping

July 2, 2006 -- Iraq's largest Sunni Arab parliamentary bloc, the Iraqi Accordance Front, announced today it was suspending its participation in the assembly until parliament deputy Taysir al-Mashhadani is freed.

Al-Mashhadani and eight of her bodyguards were kidnapped on July 1 when their convoy was ambushed in northern Baghdad.
