Chief Of Saddam Hussein's Tribe Killed

July 25, 2006 -- Iraqi police say gunmen have killed the leader of the tribe to which the former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein belongs.

Mahmud Ali Hussein al-Nida, chief of Baijat tribe, was attacked in Tikrit late on July 24.


In other news, the U.S. military says two of its soldiers were killed during operations in the western province of Al-Anbar Province.
