Two Rebel Leaders Reported Killed In Chechnya

July 28, 2006 -- Russian media reports say pro-Moscow Chechen forces have killed two alleged commanders of rebel groups.

Moscow-backed Chechen Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov was quoted as saying one of the men was responsible for an attack earlier this month on a military convoy in which six soldiers were killed and 14 wounded.


The other allegedly was a close aide to the late Chechen commander Shamil Basayev.
