China Urges Iran To Be Flexible On Nuclear Issue

September 16, 2006 -- China has urged Iran to be more flexible on its nuclear program.


That was the message Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao conveyed to Iranian Vice-President Ali Saidlu when the two met Friday on the sidelines of a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a regional security forum, in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.


Iran enjoys observer status with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
