Russia, Georgia Meet On Restoring Air Links
February 6, 2007 -- Russia and Georgia are pursuing talks on restoring air travel between the two countries, which were suspended by Moscow last year during a bitter dispute.
A senior Russian transport official, Gennady Loshchyonov, said the two sides, which began negotiations on February 5, had agreed to form a working group to resolve outstanding issues.
Russia recalled its ambassador, cut transport links, and launched a crackdown on Georgian migrants in October in the wake of a spying row.
