Top U.S. Commander For Diplomacy In Iran Nukes Issue

June 19, 2007 -- The commander of the U.S. Central Command has said he considers the use of force against Iran as a measure of last resort.


Admiral William Fallon, speaking after a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe, said he favors diplomatic means to solve the Iranian nuclear issue.


Meanwhile Iran's representative to OPEC, Hossein Kazempur Ardebili, was quoted as refusing to rule out using oil supplies as a weapon in the standoff over its nuclear program.
