Iraqi PM Rejects Sunni Resignations

August 5, 2007 -- The office of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki says he has refused to accept the resignation of six cabinet members from the main Sunni bloc in parliament, the Iraqi Accordance Front.

The six announced their resignations on August 1.


However, a senior parliamentarian from the Sunni group, Salim al-Juburi, said they will quit anyway.
