August 10, 2007 -- Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili says he is willing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin to ease tensions between their countries.
Saakashvili made his comments in a live appearance today on Georgian television as he spoke to students.
Georgia says Russian jets violated the country's air space on August 6, firing a missile that did not explode and landed in the Gori region, near breakaway South Ossetia.
