Azerbaijanis, Turks Mark Anniversary Of Karabakh War

x
TEXT SIZE - +
Some 50,000 Azerbaijanis marched through Baku on February 26 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the country's war with Armenian forces over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The Azerbaijani authorities say that 613 people died when Armenian troops attacked the village of Khojaly in Karabakh in 1992 in what Baku describes as "genocide," a charge Yerevan strongly rejects.

Reports say that thousands of Turks also rallied to mark the anniversary on February 26.

Turkey's Interior Minister Idris Sahin made a nationalist speech at the rally in Istanbul, estimated at between 20,000 and 50,000 participants.

Azerbaijan has repeatedly threatened to use force to win back Karabakh if negotiations fail to yield satisfactory results.

Condolences to our Azeri brothers. May the souls of the fallen forever haunt the murderous, genocidal beasts that still occupy NK.

You are saying: "murderous, genocidal beasts that still occupy..." Are you referring to ethnic Armenians here? I mean, do you realize that this specific "wording" is kind of remeniscent of a specific discourse that used to be popular in Germany, for example, in the 1930s?

The truth about what happened in Xocalu:the azeri kgbs used the village as a base to bomb the civilians from neighboring areas with heavy artillery causing the death of thousands villagers including azeris. The armenians warned the azeris they will take the village ,leaving a humanitarian corridor for civilian refugees to be evacuated. The azeri kgbs however didnt care at all about their own and didnt evacuate the villagers and were thus responsible for the casualties. They cynically used them to overthrow the then president Ayaz Mutalibov, replacing him with a sham-nationalist puppet Abulfaz Elchibey who turned out to be the biggest dupe they had ever seen-and today they admit that half-heartedly.Its a common tactics among arabs and turks to hide behind civilians ,using them as cannon-fodder and blaming their opponents, the palstinians use these tactics very often. So the civilian casualties must be a burden on the conscience of the turkic-azeri overlords, that is if they have a conscience at allThere are seven documentaries about that war made by a bulgarian journalist who has 5 death sentences because of her work-how would you comment on that dear RFE?RL journalists sitting comfortably in your Prague bureaus? You can see all the documentaries on Xocalu.net but the azeri kgbs have inundated the web with false Xocalu.net sites & clones to prevent the people from the info,so type Tsvetana Paskaleva,You Tube to find it.An azeri journalist who spoke & told the same truth served a 5 year sentence in an azeri jail for the same offence-his story can be read elsewhere on this site. The turkic-azeris spens millions every year to fool the world with their version of events and they are very successful in their countries with 70 to 90% illiteracy with the rest being subject to the nazi-type propaganda of their `grand viziers`Genocide denial and falsification of history is very big business for the turkic terrorists and they will get away with it as long as the whorish west will prostitute itself for cheap oil.

Armenians kicked Turks' (Azeris are Turks) butt so well, Turks wil be forever afraid to confront Armenian defence force. Kurds learnt too that Turks are good for nothing, their country is only propped up by NATO and it will collapse together with NATO.

It is funny how Azeris are so quick to judge Armenians as barbarians and animals but forget how they threw Armenians out of balconies, burned them on the streets, got on buses and asked everyone to pronounce the word "finduk" to find out who exactly is Armenian and then beat them to death. All this because Armenians peacefully demonstrated that they no longer wanted to live under Azeri rule.

Serge, you are right, we have no credibility but you Azeris have lots of credibility. Your only credibility is in the ground and is called oil and gas. If you did not have natural resources, even Turkey wouldn't be your friend. Your largest ally Israel would dump you in a second because you would not have billions of dollars to buy arms from Israel and enrich them.
