Prosecutors in Bosnia have indicted 15 ethnic Serb suspects for allegedly killing more than 150 Muslim civilians during the Bosnian War.

In a statement issued on December 12, prosecutors said, "It is one of the largest indictments for war crimes in the region of Prijedor" in northwestern Bosnia.

According to prosecutors, the suspects took part in a wide and systematic attack on the Bosnian Muslim population in the village of Zecovi.

The suspects were charged with "murder, torture, rape and other crimes as well as looting and destruction of property."

All the suspects, who include officers, were arrested during the past few weeks.

Hundreds of Zecovi inhabitants were taken to detention camps while the remains of dozens of other villagers were found in a mass grave at Tomasica in the same region.

The grave in Tomasica is one the largest mass graves uncovered so far from the 1992-1995 war.
