Bosnian Serbs have called on the country's foreign minister to resign for instructing Bosnia's representative at the United Nations to support the latest General Assembly resolution condemning the Syrian regime.

Since the end of Bosnia's 1992-1995 war, the country has been run by a three-member presidency, made up of the former warring parties -- Bosnian Muslims, Serbs and Croats -- and any major foreign policy decision has to be unanimous.

The Bosnian Serb member of the presidency, Nebojsa Radmanovic, said on August 9 that Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija has to resign because he did not consult the presidency before instructing the ambassador to support the vote.
