Moldova: The EU-Moldova forum opens in Berlin (to October 23).

TUESDAY, October 23:

EU/Russia: The EU-Russia Center in Brussels hosts a discussion titled "Putin's Dream - The Eurasian Union."

Kazakhstan/Czech Republic: Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev visits Prague (to October 24).

Kazakhstan/Russia/U.S.: A three-man crew of U.S. and Russian astronauts
departing for the International Space Station from the Russian-leased Baikonur spacer center in Kazakhstan.

Moldova: OSCE holds a training seminar on Internet media for journalists from Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine in Chisinau.

Russia: Tenth anniversary of the Dubrovka Moscow theater hostage crisis.

UN: UNCTAD launches its Technology and Innovation Report 2012 in Geneva.

EU/Russia: European Parliament in Strasbourg to discuss EU-Russia trade relations following Russia's accession to the WTO (to October 26).

EU/Serbia: European Parliament in Strasbourg to discuss procedures for applying the EC-Serbia Stabilization and Association Agreement and the EC-Serbia Interim Agreement.

FRIDAY, October 26:

EU: The winner of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought 2012 to be announced in Strasbourg.
