Brussels Hosts Conference On Renewable Energy In Central Asia

The European Commission has organized a conference in Brussels on November 6 that is aimed at promoting sustainable-energy-policy developments in Central Asia.

The one-day conference also is focusing on the private business opportunities for renewable energy production in Central Asia -- including wind power, solar power, and hydroelectric power.

Guest speakers include energy and resource officials from the governments of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Also scheduled to speak at the conference are senior energy officials from the European Commission, development bankers, and private-sector specialists in the field of renewable energy.
