TEXT SIZE - +
Two Uyghurs deported from Cambodia to China have reportedly been jailed for life.

That's according to a report by U.S.-funded Radio Free Asia, which cited family sources and local officials in China's western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The report says it was unclear when the sentences were handed down or what the men were charged with.

The two Uyghurs were among a group of about 20 who had sought asylum in Cambodia following ethnic riots between Muslim Uyghurs and majority Han Chinese in Xinjiang in July 2009.

Another member of the group reportedly has been jailed in China for 17 years.

The jail terms of the others were not known because of secret court proceedings.

Cambodia was criticized by human rights groups for deporting the Uyghurs at the end of 2009.
