Officials in Daghestan say they have detained a man suspected of the murder of the head of the local social security office in the settlement of Akusha.

Police said Abdulla Aliyev was shot dead earlier on June 25 at the entrance to the Pension Fund office.

The gunmen fled the scene.

Police said two suspects were spotted at a nearby area some 90 minutes later.

Russian news agencies quoted unnamed police sources as saying one of the suspects was wounded in an exchange of gunfire.

He was detained, while the other fled to a forest.

A police officer was fatally wounded during the gunfire exchange.

He died on the way to hospital.

Dagestani policemen are no ordinary "policemen",they are pro-russian terrorists, killers and torturers of innocent civilians. They are killers in russian state-uniforms. They deserve death!!! If the german police were as brutal and bloody as the dagestani police,i would have gone to the forests long time ago! Long live the Sharia-Jamaat,the Robin Hood´s of Dagestan!!!

Hello Anonymous, not hiding behind the name 2daNoobster today, eh? Your trolling track-record is starting to catch up with you, and you will need to change your various aliases yet once again - http://www.rferl.org/content/amnesty-international-north-caucasus-impunity-authorities-threaten-security/24621015.html

We both are KGB agents. We both studied at the KGBU a.k.a. "Oxford". I will report your insecure behaviour to general Ivanovski.

Hello Anonymous aka 2danoobster aka William from Aragon, the KGB ceased operation years ago and was replaced by the FSB. You might benefit from using RFE/RL to keep up with current events, rather than conducting trolling exercises. Jack - and every other reader on this site - knows that although William of Aragon may attack another person's argument, he never attacks another person's character.

Why do you change the word Islamic to Russian? I am not pleased. Those Muslims are all terrorists.

Once again Anonymous aka 2danoobster aka William from Aragon aka anyboy else you want to hide behind, you do not have one original idea to contribute to RFE/RL. Give it a try - how hard is it?
