Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has had a tough year running a tight ship back in Belarus, including fending off EU sanctions
, expelling ambassadors
, and showing some tough love
toward Belarus’ Olympic athletes.
To top it off, not only will Lukashenka not be able to attend this evening's Olympics opening ceremony in London, but he was officially outed on Twitter
by State Duma Deputy Speaker and Russian National Committee head Aleksandr Zhukov.
In the spirit of the Olympics and for all the banned leaders (we mean you, Assad and Mugabe), this cartoon by RFE/RL's Belarus Service cartoonist, ДЛ (DL), says it all.
