TEXT SIZE - +
At least eight workers have been killed in a fire at an oil storage facility near the western Kazakh city of Aktau.

The state-owned company KazTransOil reported the fire started on October 11 when workers were cleaning equipment at the Aktau pumping station.

KazTransOil said the cause of the fire was still not clear.

The Kazakh company said emergency systems helped prevent the fire from spreading, but KazTransOil did not say if the fire had been extinguished.
