Paris To Resubmit Bill On Armenian Genocide Denial

French President Francois Hollande
French President Francois Hollande
France plans to vote on a new bill that would criminalize denying that the 1915-16 mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks was genocide, a local Armenian-lobbying group has said.

French President Francois Hollande said on July 7 that he would support another attempt to pass such a law.

A similar bill passed the National Assembly in December 2011, under Hollande's presidential predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy, but the country's constitutional court struck down the measure as a violation of freedom of speech.

The debate in France has angered Ankara, which suspended political and military cooperation in retaliation for the original bill's passage.

According to German media, upon being asked for his comments on the French bill, President Erdogan reportedly replied "There is no bill."

Best thing the Austrians and Poles did was to stop the Turks at the gates of Vienna and send them back crawling back to Turkey, which lead to Kara Mustafa's head being chopped off. I love the fact that a church in Poland has bells made out of molten Turkish cannons and with the heads of 6 Turkish generals melted inside the bell. Turks have committed atrocities against many people of the world to levels that are inconceivable to normal human beings

You are right but... Austrians didn't do much in fact (other than keeping the transitting coffee from Arabia). Their king fled. Jan Sobieski had to do everything himself.

You are right, it is corruption and lobbying that has kept recognition of the Armenian Genocide from passing in many countries such as the U.S. You Turks and Kurds committed Genocide against the Armenians. You will be hard pressed to find much Armenians in Eastern Turkey where you forcibly removed them from their homes, raped them and killed them. Admit your crimes against humanity. You can't change history no matter how hard you try, and it is ridiculous that countries like the U.S. have statesmen who say; "We know it was Genocide, but we can not accept it". How ridiculous.

Dear Razo,Ataturk means the father of all turks, which is the nickname of Cemal-an impotent castrate who is considered the father of that `nation`.Now the semi-literate MIT-turkish KGB stooge dupes my nickname Camel Anaturk changing it to Cemal Anaturk which means Cemal is the mother of all turks as well???Getcha???I see Google has made most of its users downright fools.
