British Minister Says Iran Nuclear Program Could Start Arms Race

Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague says that Iran is clearly attempting to develop nuclear-weapons capability and if the country succeeds it could spark a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

Hague told the "Daily Telegraph" in an interview published on February 18 that if Iran obtained nuclear weapons, "I think other nations across the Middle East will want to develop nuclear weapons."

Hague said that in that scenario "the most serious round of nuclear proliferation since nuclear weapons were invented would have begun, with all the destabilizing effects in the Middle East, and the threat of a new Cold War in the Middle East."

He said the consequences of that would be "a disaster in world affairs."

Hague's comments come as Iran finds itself under increasing international sanctions for its pursuit of nuclear technology that Tehran claims is for peaceful purposes.

Cold War? A nuclear was is more likely if Iran gets the bomb. William Hague does not seem to understand that the doctrine of mutually assured destruction MAD does not work with Iran . See MAD is Dead www.madisdead.blogspot.com

I fully agree that it was Israel, which started the nuclear Arms race in the Middle East. Libya, Iraq,Syria and now Iran started their nuclear Programs after it became known to the world that Israel has a stockpile of 150-200 nuclear bombs

"Iran Nuclear Program Could Start Arms Race"????? I just completely seize to see any logic in all these NATO/Israeli statements on Iran and its alleged nuclear program. One day they say that they will never allow Iran to have its own nuclear arms and that they will bomb Iran into ashes on Monday between breakfast and lunch. The next day they say that IF Iran acquires nuclear weapons, THEN... I mean, guys, if you are already just about to start bombing Iran, what ifs, whens or thens can one possibly be talking about? Just somehow try to "synchronize" your "discourse" on this issue, I mean, 'cos if you do not, then you just sound ridiculous :-)...

Two millennia of persecution and worse is responsible for Israel having made itself into a militant supremacist theocracy/ethnocracy with ICBM nukes; a very real and rapidly increasing threat to itself and to the whole world. America should support the Jewish state's healing, but never its wars or other manifestations of its deranged fixations on dominance and invulnerability. Israel, not Iran, is the warmonger. Sanction Israel.

The British Foreign Secretary, and the rest of the present authorities, are long time overdue in The Hague, Netherlands. Could he account for the mess with the Dutch at Srebrenica in Bosnia, under the UN - and do these gentlemen or their royal brothers and sisters, have any idea what the British family members (next to illiterate on any field) with the UN at the time were doing in Belgrade, Serbia?

The British are a constant source of trouble making, never peace making. Their credibility amounts to about minus zero.

It is the British and other foreign countries meddling and offensive behavior that could spark owens of the Iranian Nukes (if there are any). You have already breached a number of arms embargos.

I think Israel might have lost the plot. Too bad that so many lost their lives to gain the state and so many are prepared to lose it to placate a rogue state determined to destroy them.

Just nuke em

In other news from the Middle East: the two battleships that the Islamis Republic of Iran sent through the Suez Channel the other day have successfully arrived to the Syrian port of Tartus.
So, what we have here are (a) Russian, (b) Iranian battleships in Syria and (c) the US and Saudi Arabia pressuring the intl community into authorizing their invasion in this country. In other words, all the preconditions for the transformation of the Syrian crisis into the Third World War are in place - fasten your seat-belts, estimados señores!

If you go to the zoo and stand at the cell next to the macaques then you too will hear that nations across the Middle East will want to develop nuclear weapons.

We want to hear from those like Mr. Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague no information on which a few years apart from him saying monkeys, bears in the North and toddler in kindergarten but what is actually done to prevent it..

He would sell beer and not deal with this nonsense-rubbish to say..
We want to hear from Mr.Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague what he thinks about the declining quality of Guinness beer...
