Ukraine Detains Former Environment Minister

Ukrainian authorities have detained former environment minister Heorhiy Filipchuk, who is being investigated for alleged abuse of office.

The state prosecutor's office has released a statement saying it had opened a criminal case against Filipchuk following an audit into the previous government's affairs.

Filipchuk is the third minister from the government of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko to face criminal charges since her opponent Viktor Yanukovych came to power in February.
