Iran Test-Fires Missile

Iran has been conducting war games for 10 days in the Strait of Hormuz
TEXT SIZE - +
An Iranian naval commander says Iran has successfully test-fired two 200-kilometer-range missiles during naval exercises near the Strait of Hormuz.

The French Foreign Ministry responded by saying the latest tests were a "very bad signal" sent to the international community by Iran.

Iranian state media quoted a deputy naval commander, Mahmud Musavi, as saying a Qader shore-to-sea missile and a Nasr surface-to-surface missile were launched in the tests.

Another shorter-range missile was expected to be launched later on January 2, the last day of the 10-day war games.

The tests came after navy officials said on January 1 that Iran had test-fired an advanced medium-range, ground-to-air missile in the area.

Iranian officials have previously threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf shipping lane through which more than one-third of the world's tanker oil passes, if Western nations impose sanctions on Iran.

The French Foreign Ministry spokesman, Bernard Valero, reminded Tehran on January 2 of the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

facing a campaign of lies and fabrications (like the last fabricated "plot to assacinate Saudi ambassador") Iran has no other choice but to defend itself against US government and NATO. Iran is making remarkable progress in technology. As any country facing external threat Iran has all rights to develop defence capabilities. It is up to US government to continue to side with Wahhabi Sunni muslim regimes like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan against Iran, or realize the American freedoms and values align a lot less with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan than with Iran. Iran is the only muslim country which has some resemblance to free elections and is slowly but surely progressing toward true democracy, unlike allies of US government - Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

It would not be necessary to set Iran back to the stone age to defeat them militarily. It would be in everyone's interest for the new freely elected government to have as much to work with as possible. That's as optimistic an assessment as I can come up with. If they develop nuclear weapons, all bets are off and everyone must fend for themselves.

Hadith - Muslim #7034, Narrated Anas ibn Malik

Allah's Apostle said: The Dajjal [the Antichrist] would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan [Iran] wearing Persian shawls.

So, quit your pointless lies. Iran is your best ally.

The National Defense Authorization Act is placing the sanctions on Iran which are FORCING their hand in these issues. Our government is playing with fire and ASKING for World War III by picking a fight with the Iranian Government. This SAME legislation gives our own government the power to detain American citizens indefinitely and without trial for speaking out against this agenda of war-profiteering through causing constant strife and conflict in the Middle East. Join the discussion about how our Government is waging war without public approval and suppressing our Freedom of Speech so far that we are petrified to stand up against them.
