Iran Deploys Warships To The Mediterranean

Iran's navy says its warships have entered the Mediterranean after crossing the Suez Canal to show Tehran's "might" to regional states.

Commander Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said in remarks quoted on February 18 by the official IRNA news agency that Iranian Navy ships have passed through the Suez "for the second time since the Islamic Revolution."

Sayyari did not say how many vessels had crossed the canal, but said the flotilla had previously docked in the Saudi port of Jeddah.

Iranian media had reported that two ships, the destroyer "Shahid Qandi" and the supply vessel "Kharg," had docked in the Red Sea port on February 4.

Israel's Foreign Ministry said the ship's movements will be closely watched to ensure they do not approach its coast.

The first Iranian presence in the Mediterranean was reported in February 2011.

Israel seems to think it can do anything it wants to stop Iran from building nuclear weapons. I don't think they can stop them, anymore than we could stop Pakistan, India, China, or the USSR from having them. Iran seems to be telling Israel to watch its back, for there is no telling what kind of weapons these ships have on board. Now we have to worry about Israel's harassment of these ships and how they react to it.

It is also very likely that Iran already has a nuclear weapon, donated by one of its friends, Pakistan or N. Korea. For a lifetime supply of oil, I would do it in heartbeat if I were leading either of these countries.

It is amazing how our society had changed! During the WWII Dutch farmers refused the idea of getting extra loaf of bread or pile of firewood from Nazis, and risked their life to help shot down Allied Force pilots. Now we are are not ashamed to admit that we would sell ourselves for tank of low priced gasoline...

so they thought USA wasn't against them and might shear.
At the end of the war ethnic Russians plottted with Brits,
while USA was oblivian - Stalin speach in Postsdam.
After the war Russians overturned Eastern Europe
And USSR governments and influxed Russians.
Stalin - under house arrest since Spring of 1947.
Russia betrayed CIS (temporary USSR) and UN,
as well as their, to WW2 Western allies promiss.
West started Cold War, but it was too late stop it,
USSR got first bomb in 1949, when USA had few
And USSR army was able invade whole Europe.
The main reason was that - ballance of powers:

Better than constant wars all over the Globe;
Recent allies in big wars usually hesitate
start another war against each other;
Cold war was ethnic Russia's leash.
They betrayed everybody, expanding,
Influxing and breeding hulligan-beasts
into lands and houses of other nations
That required, at least, Cold War walls.

Israel was allowed as small, but storage

East like have it, if they really do, for rainy
day - they wouldn't attak-expand-aggress.

USSR, China, Ukraine and Kazahstan, as
USA, UK and France were "group powers"
of West and East stand-off - Russia-USA
alone didn't have much safety prevent war,
