Kosovo Police Clash With Protesters Near Serbia Border

Police and protesters clash at the Merdare border crossing
TEXT SIZE - +
Police in Kosovo have made more than 140 arrests after clashing with protesters who tried to stop traffic from Serbia entering the territory.

Around 50 people -- most of them police officers -- were injured.

The Kosovar Albanian protesters were trying to block two border crossings. They were protesting over what they say is Serbian obstruction of Kosovo's independence since its secession in 2008.

In the town of Podujevo, near the Merdare border crossing, riot police used tear gas and water cannon on a crowd of some 500 people who were blocking the road.

Some demonstrators responded by throwing rocks. Dozens of people were reportedly detained.

RFE/RL called Albanian muslims "protesters" and RFE/RL called Christian Serbs "mob" and "extremists". Does RFE/RL really think readers are that dumb to believe its anti-Christian hateful agenda?

After reading and watching the video, it's clear that whats written is not true in the order of how events happened. The rocks were thrown by these protesters first then the riot police responded by tear gas. Get your order of facts straight writers that get my tax dollars for misinforming readers. Crazily biased for who's cause and interests?

RFE/RL is operated by CIA and it promotes US government's agenda. That explains the stuff it pushes - support for Wahhabi muslim terrorists (Chechens, Albanians, Pakistanies, Saudis, and Wahhabi Sunni muslims in Syria)

That's true!

The writer of the article doesn't even watch the video just begin to write what he believe the truth is...

The fact is that the protesting mob begin to attack the policemen by throwing rocks and the police only responded to that attack with tear gas.

What a difference to the original article of RFE/RL!
