A public inquiry into former Russian spy Aleksandr Litvinenko’s death has heard that two Russian suspects are still wanted by police for murder.
Counterterrorism officer Craig Mascall told the inquiry in London on January 28 there was an "ongoing criminal investigation."
He added that Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun were still wanted for the murder.
Both deny any involvement.
Litvinenko died three weeks after drinking tea poisoned with a radioactive isotope at a London hotel in November 2006.
He had fled to Britain where he became a vocal critic of the Kremlin.
On January 27, the lawyer for Litvinenko's widow said he was murdered for trying to "expose the corruption" at the heart of Russia's "mafia state."
Russia has refused to extradite the two suspects, while the Kremlin has always denied involvement in Litvinenko's death.
