Belarus's Interior Ministry has declined to comment on reports by bloggers that a man looking like the brother of ex-Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev has been living in Minsk.
A photo of a man looking like Janysh Bakiev, who is facing trial in absentia in Kyrgyzstan, has been circulating on the Internet since August 19.
Belarusian blogger Mikhail Pashkevich said he took the photo in Minsk on August 17.
Kurmanbek Bakiev fled Kyrgyzstan in the wake of antigovernment protests in April 2010 and has been living in Belarus since then.
He, Janysh Bakiev, and more than 20 former associates are being tried in absentia in connection with the deaths of nearly 100 people when security forces fired on protesters during the upheaval.
The Belarusian regime refused to extradite the ex-president to Bishkek.
